About

My Name is Jenna Reischauer (Gunderson) I‘m 25 & married with a sweet little babe! I grew up in Union Iowa and lived there until I got married, and then moved to Hubbard. I started dancing at age 3 and quickly turned to competing at age 6. I’ve trained at studios all over the state of Iowa and with coaches from all across the U.S. at countless conventions and intensives.

I’ve received numerous awards, scholarships, job offers and titles through my years of competing!

At age 9 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and life flighted to Mayo Clinic where I underwent my first brain surgery, I woke up with some weakness on my right side but regained my strength within a few days. Unfortunately, my tumor reoccurred and I had to have a second surgery that was guaranteed to leave me paralyzed on my entire right side. By grace I woke up from surgery with zero paralysis! I have been tumor free for 15 years this year!

I knew when I got to the other side of this obstacle, dance was what I was meant to do.

Later on in my teen years I endured a pretty aggressive hip injury and was told going into the professional dance industry probably wasn’t for me, and that I should highly consider teaching. And I am SO thankful that I did! I have been teaching in Ames for the past 4 years, and it has been the absolute best 4 years ever! Our students and their families have quickly become like second families to us.

My goal with starting this studio in Hubbard is to bring what I love, back to the area that raised me. My goal is to teach without favoritism, without competition with teammates, and to encourage your kiddos in a positive, healthy and happy atmosphere, while still getting the education they need to jump into the professional dance world someday if they choose to do so. ❤️

We hope to see you soon!
